2021 Annual Business Meeting
As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and efforts to keep everyone safe, the decision was made by our board of directors to suspend member attendance at our annual meeting, which is consistent with Prince George Electric Cooperative's value to always put safety first.

With recent events resulting from COVID-19, all of us have had to make changes and accommodations to our daily lives. This is true at PGEC where we have adjusted our operations to ensure that we provide continuous and uninterrupted electric and broadband services as well as adjust procedures for the public gatherings we hold. We have carefully and thoughtfully developed safety protocols for this year’s annual meeting in order to comply with federal and state guidelines for social distancing and to ensure the health and safety of those involved.
The PGEC 2021 annual meeting will be held at the headquarters in Waverly, but public attendance will be suspended. Instead, the meeting will be live-streamed via PGEC Facebook Live on Monday, September 27, 2021, at 5 p.m.
As available every year, members may return a signed proxy, found on the back cover of September’s Cooperative Living magazine. Members returning a signed proxy prior to the meeting will be eligible to participate in a prize drawing for a chance to win 1 of 10 $250 bill credits on his/her electric bill.
A meeting was held on June 2, 2021, to select nominees to serve on the board of directors for a period of three years. Listed below are the names of the nominees from their respective districts.
Three Year Terms
District 2 – Blackwater/Brandon – Paul H. Brown
District 5 – Waverly/Wakefield/Newville – Christoper T. Parker
District 7 – Templeton – Denya C. Hankerson
To be valid, each PROXY CARD must be signed and returned to the cooperative no later than 12 p.m. (noon) the day of the meeting, Monday, September 27, 2021.
We appreciate our members’ understanding in these unprecedented times of these changes necessary for this year’s annual meeting.
