2023 Rural Electric Youth Tour to Washington, D.C.

Dates for 2023: Monday, June 19, through Friday, June 23.

This program is open to all high school, and home-schooled juniors in the Prince George Electric Cooperative service areas whose parent(s) or guardian(s) are members of PGEC. Participants must complete an application form and write a brief essay.

Students selected for the four available Rural Electric Youth Tour spots sponsored by PGEC will join over 1,500+ high school students from the U.S. to learn about electric cooperatives, American history, and the United States government. Students will also visit the historic sites of the nation’s capital and get a chance to meet with their congressional leaders. Representing PGEC on this trip is an excellent way to bolster college applications. Students will interact with students across Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and the United States.
