2015 Scholarship Winner
Kaela Orr, a senior at Prince George High School, has earned a $1,000 Worth M. Hudson Scholarship awarded by the Educational Scholarship Foundation of the Virginia, Maryland & Delaware Association of Electric Cooperatives (VMDAEC). The daughter of Linda and Anthony Orr of Prince George, Kaela has been accepted by Radford University where she plans to study fashion merchandising.
VMDAEC scholarships are awarded based on a competitive screening process that considers both financial need and academic achievement, as well as a personal statement from the applicant. To be eligible, students’ parents must be members of Prince George Electric Cooperative, and applicants must be planning to enter their first semester of college, technical or trade school in the autumn of 2015.
Founded in 1944, VMDAEC is the trade association for Prince George Electric Cooperative and 14 other electric co-ops in Virginia, Maryland and Delaware.
